Hello! And welcome to For I Am Persuaded!
I'm so glad you stopped by! I'm guessing that if you clicked on this page, you're wondering who I am and why I blog. Well, I'm so glad you asked!Did you know that you are loved with an OUTRAGEOUS love? You are! I didn't really understand this kind of love until I held my firstborn in my arms. If you're a mom, you probably know what I mean.
As my child lay there in my arms, helpless, my heart was seized with such a terrible love that I found myself overwhelmed. This beautiful baby was unable to meet any need of mine, incapable of earning my approval, but I knew beyond a doubt that I would die or kill to protect him.
Friend, this love of a mother is but a small picture of the love that our Heavenly Father feels for us. Though I am fallible and prone to mistakes as a mom, our loving Father is our perfect parent and doesn't require you to earn His love or perform for His approval. The Bible is very clear about this:
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! ~ Romans 5:8-9

So why the title?
It's about God's great love for us! There is nothing that you can do or say that will make Him not love you! Did you know that this concept is one of the two things that separates Christianity from other world religions? Once you acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are sealed by the Holy Spirit, the God of the Universe takes up residence in your heart and that's it!![]() |

For
I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~ Romans 8:38-39
What is this blog about?
The experts say you should write about what you know... so I will. Posts will include straight-up Bible study, child-rearing in a crazy world (some of the crazy is of my own making!), cooking for a busy family and tips for navigating the confusing world of the hospital. Let's be honest, some of them are just going to be random topics that God lays on my heart! The overriding theme, though, will be looking at this busy life from a God-centered perspective.
I hope you find something here that will inspire and encourage you on the journey toward a closer relationship with Jesus. You are welcome to leave your thoughts as a comment and please feel free to share this blog with a friend!
Blessings,
Christi
